Hi, I'm Nic.

New medical technology reaches patients only when someone builds a system around it. That has been my work for 25 years.

At medneo it was Radiology-as-a-Service. My co-founders and I started with one imaging centre in Berlin-Mitte in 2011. We grew it to more than 40 sites in three countries, 550+ people and over 3 million patients. In 2023 I handed over to independent management and moved to the board.

Now I am doing it for the brain. Wearables track our heart and our sleep. The brain, which shapes how we feel and perform, is still rarely measured outside a lab or a clinic. With my co-founders I am building a non-invasive brain-computer interface with our own brain foundation model. Still in stealth; more soon.

Alongside, I invest in founders (30+ angel investments so far) and I am president of the Europe Bridge Chapter of the Entrepreneurs' Organization. I co-founded the German Society for AI in Medicine. I also hold a few board and advisory roles for owners, investors and founders, mostly where a company has to change how it creates value or how it is run.

What I bring:

• I have been the founder, the CEO, the investor and the board member, in good years and in hard ones.
• The whole journey: first money, angels, venture capital, private equity, debt, acquisitions and an exit.
• How organisations have to change to really use AI.
• Healthcare, in Germany and internationally.

And the domain? web-systems.org was my first company, back in 1999. The name stayed.
